What is independent living?
Independent living offers seniors a wide variety of supportive services such as: three meals daily, utilities, housekeeping, laundry services, activities, social programming, emergency alert buttons, 24-hour security, maintenance of apartment and grounds, some transportation, and much more. Independent living communities provide residents with access to visiting medical professionals, which have offices inside the facility and typically consist of a nurse, general physician, social worker, psychologist, physical therapist, and podiatrist. Independent living is suited for residents who are able to complete activities of daily living without the need of 24/7 skilled nursing. If a resident needs assistance with activities of daily living, they are permitted to use a third-party home health care service.
Do I have to sign a lease?
Riverview is a lease free community. You are not required to sign a lease of any kind. We want you to be here because you enjoy it, not because of a demanding lease.
I’m independent now but what happens if I need assistance in the future?
If a resident needs assistance with activities of daily living, he/she is permitted to use a third-party home health care service. If you need assistance obtaining services, you may speak with our in-house social worker, staff, or visiting nurse who would be happy to assist you.
Are there visiting hours for residents?
Riverview is a 24-hour community, which means residents and their families can come and go as they please. Visitors and service professionals are required to sign in and out at the front desk.
Is there 24-hour staff at Riverview?
There is always a staff member present at our front desk. Additionally, we have a staff housekeeper or porter prepared and available for your day to nighttime requests.
